After a six month evaluation of multiple EMR products currently available with the supposed benefits of high-end , high price programs, I recently converted my solo gyn oncology practice to MedTemps. Trigram Technology was outstanding in supporting my efforts to assist in this effort, including conversion to a networked user group and utilization of the improved features of Microsoft Word 2007. For someone with relatively modest technical background and a willingness to work through the transition, it has been satisfactory all around. The strengths and the familiarity of Microsoft have allowed me to comfortably create macros, drop down lists and customize the existing templates without trouble. It is intuitive and reliable and it is a workhorse. Being able to troubleshoot most problems without being hostage to technical support for every issue is a big plus, also. The Dragon Naturally-Speaking with a customized vocabulary solves the problem of real-time narrative history taking quite well out of the box. For a specialist practice, it really is hard to beat and the “advantages” that high end programs might have are quite modest and certainly not worth the price. Excellent program!
